JETGO Australia: Revised commencement date for Brisbane – Karratha services

This is due to delays with the delivery of the aircraft which is now scheduled for arrival in Brisbane in July.

Once delivered the aircraft will be inducted into JETGO Australia's fleet and approvals processed by the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA).

JETGO Australia's Managing Director Airlines, Paul Bredereck said "We have been going through the process of commissioning a new aircraft into our fleet for the introduction of this service, which has required considerable preparation."

"Unfortunately, due to delays with the delivery of the new aircraft into Australia, we have had to defer the commencement of our Brisbane to Karratha service to allow for final approvals to be processed."

"We apologise for any inconvenience caused to those customers already booked on flights and will work closely with them to ensure they are fully refunded or rescheduled for a later date and will provide a $100 voucher to be used towards future bookings."

The new service is being established with the support of the City of Karratha.

City of Karratha Mayor Peter Long said the City looked forward to the commencement of the Brisbane to Karratha service.

"We are supporting JETGO in its final phase of commissioning and approvals and look forward to the commencement of the Karratha to Brisbane service in August," Cr Long said.

We are also progressing with mandatory modifications and approvals required for international status at our airport terminal to enable the Singapore to Karratha service to commence later in the year, as planned."

Brisbane to Karratha flights will operate on Mondays and Thursdays from the 6th August until 21st September, and then Mondays and Wednesdays from the 24th September.

Karratha to Brisbane flights will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays from the 6th August until 21st September, and then Wednesdays and Fridays from the 24th September.
