Direct News Source

11-Apr-2017 LEVEL's bookings have taken off with more than 100,000 tickets sold since its launch on 17 March.

International Airlines Group's (IAG) new longhaul low cost airline brand has had over 700,000 hits on its website flylevel.com as customers access low fares on flights from Barcelona to Los Angeles, San Francisco (Oakland), Buenos Aires and Punta Cana. More than 60 per cent of LEVEL's customers access flylevel.com from mobile devices.

Those customers travelling to Punta Cana can now book all-inclusive holidays including flights, hotels and car hire.

IAG chief executive, Willie Walsh, said: "Selling more than 100,000 tickets in such a short period with a new brand is incredible. The response has been fantastic in all markets. We´re enabling many people to fly longhaul for the first time and stimulating demand by providing them with more choice.

"LEVEL is breaking the mould. We will continue to offer amazing fares. Customers can chose add-ons for their flight from a menu of options.

"This is just the start. In summer 2018 we will have more aircraft and will operate more destinations from Barcelona. We're also planning to expand LEVEL operations to other European cities."

LEVEL's customers will also be able to earn and redeem Avios - the loyalty currency for IAG's airlines. This will give them the opportunity to fly to 380 destinations across the Group's network which is unique in the longhaul low cost sector.

The first flight will take off on 1 June 2017 from Barcelona to Los Angeles followed by San Francisco (Oakland) on 2 June, Punta Cana on 10 June and Buenos Aires on 17 June.

LEVEL has already got more than 50,000 followers across Instagram, Twitter and Facebook at #FLYwithLEVEL.
