Direct News Source

Sep-2017 These are our payment options for payments made in Australian Dollars (AUD). For payment in other currencies, different payment options are available.

Afterpay

To use Afterpay, you must be and Australian resident over the age of 18 and have a current Australian credit or debit card. If available, you can select Afterpay on the payment page on your Jetstar.com booking to have your purchase split over four equal fortnightly repayments.

Afterpay is available on all Australian domestic flights where you see the Afterpay logo and a price breakdown at the bottom of the page. Currently, Afterpay is only available for flights booked at least two months in advance of the first flight on the booking.

If you choose to use Afterpay for your Jetstar flights booked online at Jetstar.com, a non-refundable payment fee (link to our fees and charges page) will apply at the time of making the booking, but repayments are interest-free. Afterpay is only available on purchases with a minimum spend of $200 excluding payment fee and a maximum spend of $1000 excluding payment fee.

Repayments are made directly to Afterpay, not Jetstar. Late payment fees will apply if your card has insufficient funds. Refunds for Afterpay follow the same terms and conditions as bookings made with any other payment method. Please refer to Afterpay Terms and Conditions for late payment fee details.

If you fail to pay any amounts according to the Payment Schedule, late payment fees will apply on each payment that is due but not received. For the avoidance of doubt, late payment fees will not be applied until the day immediately following the day that the payment is due. Please refer to Afterpay Terms and Conditions opens in new window for late payment fee details.

Any bookings made using Afterpay service are subject to Afterpay's Terms and Conditions opens in new window.

If you're the organiser and want to use a gift card or voucher, you can't use them for the FareShare holding fee or your share of the booking if you want to pay straight away. The best way is to put your flights on hold - then all payment methods will be available to you when you complete your booking.

Credit, debit or charge card

Jetstar Asia (3K) card verification

On selected routes, it is a condition of sale, check-in and boarding that the original and physical credit, debit or charge card used to purchase the ticket(s) must be presented by the card owner for verification at the airport. Where you book travel on these selected routes, you'll be informed of the need for verification during the booking flow. Prior to check-in, the card owner must take the card used to purchase the tickets together with their government issued identification (such as a passport, identity card or driver's licence) to the Jetstar check-in counter. This requirement applies irrespective of whether the card owner is or is not a part of the travelling party. If the card is not verified as required, the passengers whose tickets were purchased with that card may be denied check-in and boarding at Jetstar's sole discretion. One verification is required for each return journey.
