Virgin Australia is pleased to advise an update to its flexible booking policy.

For added confidence, Virgin Australia is waiving applicable change fees and providing travellers with unlimited booking changes for reservations with travel between now and 31 October 2020.

Ongoing Health and Safety Measures

Virgin Australia has also introduced a comprehensive new set of safety and wellbeing measures including pre-departure eligibility and health screening, contactless check-in, more frequent cleaning onboard and at the airport, and expanded social distancing measures.

New Safety and Wellbeing Measures

  • Contactless check-in via virginaustralia.com or the Virgin Australia app
  • Working with airports to ensure social distancing measures are applied throughout terminals
  • When boarding a flight, guests are encouraged to scan their own boarding passes to reduce unnecessary contact
  • New sequenced boarding and disembarkation process
  • More frequent cleaning of high touch surfaces on the aircraft and within the airport
  • Guests are encouraged to bring and use their own face masks and hand sanitiser for their journey. Hand sanitiser and masks are also available upon request
  • Maintaining high cleaning standards and increased frequency of cleaning on the ground and in our aircraft using a special long-lasting antibacterial and antimicrobial cleaning agent
  • While complimentary water and a snack will continue to be served to all guests, to reduce unnecessary contact between guests and cabin crew, additional food and drinks will not be available for purchase onboard
