FBB: Germania is planning new headquarters

Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) and the airline Germania have signed a statement of intent for the acquisition of a plot of land at BER Airport. An office building will be built on site in the coming years, which will be occupied by the Germania administration over the course of the opening of BER. The site "Am Seegraben", offered by FBB, is around 16,400 square metres, fulfils all search criteria and also offers the company the possibility to build even more buildings in the future. It is situated directly by BER and has good transport connections (public and private transport). The signed statement of intent plans that all prerequisites to lead the property to the construction stage and thus enable a contract of sale, will be met within six months.

Berlin has been Germania's company site since 2009. The company's headquarters are currently located on Saatwinkler Damm near Tegel Airport. Germania Technik Brandenburg GmbH (GTB) has been doing maintenance for Germania's fleet at BER since 2012. The airline's green and white airplanes will be taking off to 21 destinations from Tegel and 18 from Schönefeld this year.

Herzlich willkommen am Hauptstadtflughafen

Die Flughafen Berlin Brandenburg GmbH (FBB) und die Fluggesellschaft Germania haben eine Absichtserklärung zum Erwerb eines Grundstücks am Flughafen BER unterzeichnet. Am Standort soll in den kommenden Jahren ein Bürogebäude entstehen, in das die Germania-Verwaltung im Zuge der BER-Eröffnung einziehen wird. Das von der FBB angebotene Grundstück "Am Seegraben" hat eine Größe von rund 16.400 Quadratmetern, erfüllt sämtliche Suchkriterien und bietet dem Unternehmen die Möglichkeit, perspektivisch noch weitere Gebäude zu errichten. Es zeichnet sich durch seine direkte Lage am BER und die gute Verkehrsanbindung (ÖPNV und Individualverkehr) aus. Die unterzeichnete Absichtserklärung sieht vor, dass innerhalb von sechs Monaten alle Voraussetzungen geschaffen werden, um das Grundstück zur Baureife zu führen und somit einen Kaufvertragsabschluss zu ermöglichen.

Berlin ist seit 2009 Firmenstandort von Germania. Momentan befindet sich die Unternehmenszentrale am Saatwinkler Damm in der Nähe des Flughafens Tegel. Die Germania Technik Brandenburg GmbH (GTB) wartet bereits seit 2012 die Germania-Flotte am BER. Die grün-weißen Flugzeuge der Airline heben in diesem Jahr vom Flughafen Tegel zu 21 Destinationen und von Schönefeld zu 18 Zielen ab.
