Fareportal Becomes First Online Travel Agency to Integrate with Spirit Airlines’ New Travel Agent Po

Leading Online Travel Agency teams up with Low-Cost Airline on development of booking portal API for travel agents

Fareportal, a leading global travel technology company, today announced that it is the first online travel company to integrate with Spirit Airlines' new travel agent portal booking API.

As an expert in API development and ancillary attachment, Fareportal worked closely with Spirit Airlines in the development of the functionality. This innovative accomplishment creates a direct connection between Spirit's travel agent portal and Fareportal's booking engines and is expected to result in increased ticket sales and improved ancillary revenue. Spirit Airlines' business model is based on ultra-low fares with the ability to add on items a la carte. The completion of the API integration means Fareportal will begin rolling out access to seat selection, pre-paid baggage, priority boarding, and more, right in the booking path.
