EVA Air extends Amadeus partnership with NDC adoption

Taiwan-based carrier unveils long-term vision to deploy NDC content and implement Altea NDC to optimize distribution via the Amadeus Travel Platform

Amadeus has renewed its existing distribution agreement with EVA Air, extending the long-term collaborative relationship between the airline and travel technology leader. The decision comes as the aviation sector strongly rebounds across Asia, with the deal allowing both the carrier and Amadeus to meet pent-up demand from travelers.

"Amadeus is acknowledged as a leader in the travel technology space and has consistently proven to be a valuable partner to EVA Air. We are delighted to extend our existing distribution agreement today and are set to develop our New Distribution Capability (NDC) offering moving forward" said EVA Air Vice President, Digital and Information Planning, Eric Chiu.

As the Taiwan-based carrier continues to develop its distribution strategy, the extended partnership prepares the way for EVA Air to roll out NDC-sourced content powered by Altea NDC technology. When fully integrated, travel sellers can expect more diverse and personalized offers from the carrier via the world's largest travel distribution platform,Amadeus Travel Platform. This process continues to evolve, with more information set to be released in the coming months.

Frederic Saunier, Vice President, Airline Distribution, Asia Pacific, Amadeus said: "Amadeus is delighted to extend our existing relationship with EVA Air. With NDC technology, EVA Air will improve its retailing capabilities to tailor offerings for its customers and unlock new opportunities for travelers and travel sellers alike.
