Europe's Aviation policy lacks clear vision
09-Jun-2011 The Board of the European Regions Airline Association (ERA) has criticised the recently published European Commission (EC) White Paper for Transport, which it says has missed the opportunity for setting a clear vision for the future of air transport in Europe and lacks the innovative, free market policies needed to achieve it. Meeting in Luxembourg today, ERA Board members expressed significant concerns on several aspects of the Paper, and in particular the number of inconsistent statements regarding the growth of air transport and contradictory arguments which are illustrated below.
