David Gonski AC to join Sydney Airport Board

Sydney Airport today announced that David Gonski AC will be joining the board of Sydney Airport as a non-executive director from late September 2018.

Sydney Airport Chairman Trevor Gerber said, "I am delighted that David Gonski is joining the board of Sydney Airport. He has an outstanding track record as a businessman, director and philanthropist.

"David brings with him decades of experience working successfully in business and with all levels of Australian government. We expect he will make a valuable contribution to our board and senior leadership team."

David Gonski said, "I am pleased to be joining the board of Sydney Airport and am looking forward to working with my fellow directors and with the CEO Geoff Culbert and his team to support Sydney Airport's future success.

David Gonski is Chairman of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Ltd (ANZ), Chancellor of the University of New South Wales, President of the Art Gallery of NSW Trust, a member of the ASIC External Advisory Panel and the board of the Lowy Institute for International Policy.

He was appointed a Companion of the Order of Australia in 2007 and received the Centenary Medal in 2003.

Mr Gonski holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws from the University of New South Wales.
