COVID-19 PANDEMIC IMPACT ON PORT AUTHORITY FACILITY VOLUMES CONTINUES INTO MARCH 2021
The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey reported that in March 2021, the ongoing global COVID-19 pandemic continued its impact on volumes at its transportation facilities. When compared to pre-COVID volumes from March 2019, airport passenger volumes were down an estimated 64 percent in March 2021. PATH monthly ridership was also down in March 2021 by 73 percent compared to March 2019. At the Port Authority's bridges and tunnels, vehicular traffic was down 8 percent in March 2021 compared to March 2019.
