Countries General Travel Restrictions & Requirements

COVID-19 Precautions Measures for more information about your entire trip.

-We invite passengers to reconfirm their booking for flights operating as of 01st July to 15th September for all bookings done before 15th June.

-Some countries government authorities request an advanced documents to be filled by passengers before arrival, document has to be filled through the mentioned URL before flight time therefore, if your destination is one of the below you are kindly requested to print the document (PDF file or online form) and fill it before your flight :

Egypt:

-Egyptians holding foreign passports along with any proof of Egyptian nationality such as (Egyptian Passport, Egyptian National ID, or Egyptian Birth Certificate) are allowed to travel to Egypt without PCR test, other than that, all Non Egyptians nationalities are required to provide negative PCR Test certificate for (COVID-19) issued not more than 72 hours prior to arrival to Egypt.
- All passengers arriving from the Republic of Iraq of various nationalities, including Egyptian nationality, must present a negative PCR test certificate conducted maximum 72 hours before arriving at any of the Egyptian Airports.
-Transit Passengers (who are entitled for Hotel Accommodation and will not be staying at Cairo Airport till their Onward Flight) must be in possession of negative PCR test even if their final destination country doesnt require a negative PCR test in order to be hotel accommodated.

Exemption from the Negative Coronavirus (COVID-19) PCR test (This exemption is only valid untill 31 Aug 2020) :
-Egyptian Nationality.
-Foreign passengers flying direct to Sharm El- Sheikh, Taba, Hurghada, Marsa Allam, Marsa Matrouh or Transit passengers to the same airports.
-Transit Passengers (who are not entitled for hotel accommodation and will be staying at Cairo Airport till their onward flight).

Starting from 01 Sep 2020 :
- Passengers of all nationalities "including Egyptians" are required to provide negative PCR Test Certificate for (COVID-19) issued not more than 72 hours prior to arrival to any of the Egyptian Airports.

Baghdad:

-All passengers arriving to Baghdad airport need a negative PCR approved by Iraqi's embassy 48 hours prior to arrival.
-Passengers are going to sign a self- declaration form to be quarantined at their residence for 14 days.
-All live animals are prohibited onboard.

Ethiopia:
-All passengers travelling with EGYPTAIR from Cairo Airport to Addis Ababa (Bole International Airport) are required to carry out COVID-19 Negative PCR test within 5 days prior to departure.

Erbil:
Below Mentioned procedures for Iraqi citizen or have a valid residency by KRG:
All passengers will be quarantined for 14 days at their home, if they will do (PCR) test of Covid-19, 48 hours before the flight to clarify whether they have got the virus or not.
But if the passengers don't do the (PCR) test of Covid-19 there , then, they must do the mentioned test at Erbil International Airport (ORER), and the charge is ( 100 000) Iraqi Dinars for each passenger.

Bahrain:

All arriving passengers shall be charged BHD 30.000 for the COVID-19 test upon arrival, and BHD 30.000 for the exit test at the end of the quarantine period. (Effective from 21 July 2020)
The test fees shall be paid in advance by the passenger through " BEAWARE" Bahrain application or through the self -service payment kiosk at the airport.

Belgium:


-Passengers traveling to Belgium are required to fill a Public Health Passenger Locator Form.​
​-Filing this form is obligatory before departure.
-All incoming passengers will be subject to self quarantine for 14 days

Budapest:
-All Non-EU nationalities(including Egyptians)are obligated to have Police Mandatory Permission.
-All passengers arriving from Egypt are required to provide COVID-19 negative test to enter Hungary otherwise they will be rejected.
-All passengers that provide COVID-19 negative test are required to have 14 days self quarantine.

Canada:
All travellers to Canada are required to provide COVID-19 information to enter the country. This includes providing an appropriate quarantine plan, contact information, and self-assessment on signs and symptoms of COVID-19. Download the ArriveCAN mobile application to submit this information before you travel while reducing wait times and limiting physical contact with others at the border.
The ArriveCAN app is available for free on Google Play and Apple App stores.

China:

-Passengers taking flights bound for China are required to present their negative results of COVID-19 nucleic acid tests before boarding.
Specific arrangements are as follows:
1-Chinese and foreign passengers on China-bound flights shall complete COVID-19 nucleic acid tests within 5 days before boarding. Tests shall be carried out in facilities designated or recognized by overseas Chinese Embassies or Consulates.
2-Chinese passengers are required to take photos of and upload their negative results of COVID-19 nucleic acid tests using the international version of the health QR code mini program on WeChat.
3-Foreign passengers should apply with the Chinese Embassies or Consulates for the Health Declaration Letter with negative test results of COVID-19.

Additional requirments for Guangzhou:
-Entry application form must be filled prior to flight departure. (APP or Paper is acceptable) Download Application Form.
-Foreign passengers visa obtained before 28th March or residence are suspended, new visa must be obtained, visa issued from Chinese embassy after 28th March 2020 can enter Guangzhou with 14 days quarantine on passenger expense.
-Chinese passengers are allowed to enter China with 14 days quarantine with below instructions:
-Register and sign up the Chinese epidemic control APP with fully reports for 14 days data and movement before departure (BELOW CODE TO BE SCANNED).

-If all 14 days have been reported and confirmed by government in China there's a "green" screen will be shown on the APP,(all the data are linked up with the civil authority system in China directly)

Greece:
All international passengers travelling to Greece must fill mandatory online PLF form (Passenger Locator Form) (in addition to the form distributed onboard) 48 hours prior to check-in and receive QR code on their mobile. At check-in counter, if the passenger does not present QR code, he should be denied boarding.

Kenya:

-All arriving passengers on international flights whose body temperature is NOT above 37.5° C (99.5°F); do not have a persistent cough, difficulty in breathing or other flu-like symptoms; have negative PCR based COVID - 19 test carried out within 96 hours before travel and are from countries considered low to medium risk COVID - 19 transmission areas shall be exempt from quarantine.

-Travellers from the following countries will be exempt from quarantine:

Canada, South Korea, Namibia, Uganda, China, Rwanda, Morocco, Japan, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Switzerland,The United States of America (except for California, Florida and Texas), United Kingdom, France, Netherland, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Italy, Germany.

Lebanon:
All passengers arriving to Lebanon are required to present a negative result of COVID-19 PCR test & must fill a Health Declaration Form issued by the Lebanese ministry Public Health before arrival to Lebanon.

Spain:

-Effective from 21 June 2020, a health passenger locator form to be filled out by passengers arrivingfrom Egypt to Spain online Click Here .
-Spanish nationalities or residents, cross border workers, health professionals, others accrediting bydocuments causes of force majeure are accepted to enter Spain from Egypt.

United Kingdom:

From 08th of June 2020 there are new rules for passengers coming into the UK. Travelers will need to share contact details, travel information, and self-isolate for 14 days or he/her may be fined.
Please fill out the online contact form before arrival in UK (earliest 48 hours before arrival).
Passenger Locator Form​

Abu Dhabi:
-All Passengers arriving to Abu Dhabi (AUH) shall have valid Covid-19 Test (PCR) 48 hours maximum before arrival to Abu Dhabi.
(Approved Laboratories in Egypt ALMOKHTABAR laboratories & central health laboratories).
-All Passengers departing from Abu Dhabi Airport are required to have COVID-19 Negative PCR Test with a validity of Not More than 96 hours from the time of departure .
-ALL arrivals passengers should undergo PCR test upon arrival to Abu Dhabi airport.
-Children below 12 years old are exempted from the initial PCR test in their Origin countries.
-People of determination (medium and high) are exempted from the initial PCR test in their Origin countries .
-Returning UAE resident passengers from countries that don't have approved labs should proceed to UAE Digital Platform and provide a (printed hard copy).
-All passengers shall have a valid health insurance in order to enter UAE, any passenger who doesn't have such a health insurance, he/she will not be allowed.
-All Passengers must check their status by visiting ICA Smart Services website Here .
Note: Health insurance companies not covering COVID-19 outbreak is Acceptable.

Dubai:
-All Passengers (UAE Citizens, Residents, tourists or Transit via Dubai) arriving to Dubai (DXB or DWC) shall have valid Covid-19 Test (PCR) 96 hours maximum before arrival to Dubai .
-Children under the age of 12 and children with moderate to severe disabilities are exempted from PCR.
-Only passenger with a negative COVID-19 certificate shall be accepted by the airline. Passengers will also undergo another PCR test upon arrival at DXB or DWC.
Kindly contact UAE embassy in your home country to inquire about the list of approved PCR test labs.
Health declaration form: To be downloaded and filled by passengers and collected by the airlines at check-in counter before departure.
Undertaking form: To be downloaded and filled by passengers , Authorities will collect this upon arrival into Dubai airport (DXB or DWC).
-If you hold a Dubai residence visa and would like to return to Dubai, you shall register and get approval for GDRFA not ICA anymore for registration Click Here
-This Approval to be obtained as of June 22nd or After, while any other Approval obtained from ICA before June 22nd is still valid and can be accepted but for 21 days from date of issuance.​
-All arriving UAE Nationals and residents who are living in Dubai are required to download and register with the Dubai Health Authority "COVID19 - DXB SmartApp" IOS - Android prior to leaving the airport. ​

-All passengers leaving from (Egypt, Afghanistan, Armenia, Bangladesh, Brazil, Djibouti, Eritrea, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Montenegro, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippine, Russia, Serbia, Somaliland, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Turkey, Turkmenistan, USA (California, Florida and Texas), Uzbekistan) are requested to download COVID-19 DXB Smart App. and fill the required data before arriving to Dubai, they will be required to show their individual QR Code generated by the application upon arrival to Dubai to expedite and ease the process of doing the second PCR test on arrival.

-All passengers shall have a valid health insurance in order to enter UAE, any passenger who doesn't have such a health insurance, he/she will not be allowed.
Note: Health insurance companies not covering COVID-19 outbreak is Acceptable

Sharjah:

-All Passengers departing from Sharjah Airport are required to have COVID-19 Negative PCR Test with a validity of Not More than 96 hours from the time of departure.
-All Passengers arriving to Sharjah Station and transfered via Cairo originally from (Belarus, Rwanda, India, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Eretria, Ethiopia, Iran, Iraq, Kenya, Lebanon, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines, Russia, Somalia, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Senegal, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan) are required to present Covid-19 PCR Negative Test Report (Printed Hard Copy) maximum 96 hours prior to departure time of flight even if they are transfere passengers in Sharjah to any beyond country.
-Passengers arriving from EGYPT can present Covid-19 PCR Negative Test Report by proceeding to the online Certified designated laboratory available Here and they are required to (print it as a hard copy).
-Further , Please note that Passengers below 12 Years old are exempted from the above Regulation.
-All passengers shall have a valid health insurance in order to enter UAE, any passenger who doesn't have such a health insurance, he/she will not be allowed.

Cyprus:
All Passengers travelling to Cyprus must visit Cyprus Flight Pass Website to know the required documents and fill online form before arriving Cyprus. In case the electronic platform is not accessible, travelers may download the form and fill it manually.
Download Form within 24 hours before flight departure.

Kuwait:

-All flights between Egypt and Kuwait is suspended till further notice.

N'djamena:

-All Passengers travelling to N'djamena shall have valid Covid-19 Test (PCR) the validity of the required PCR test to be 07 days prior arrival CHAD.
-The passenger will remain confined at home and make another PCR test at N 'NDJAMENA on the 7th day of stay in one of the authorized hospital sites. (This test is chargeable. It will cost 15000 francs CFA to pay directly at the counter of hospitals).
-The passenger who will stay less than 7 days, notice shall observe the barrier measures throughout his stay and report his contacts (hotel, home, place of work).

Abdjan:

-All passengers arriving at ABJ airport must fill in and submit the AIR TRAVEL STATEMENT before travelling, To submit it Click here.

Kigali:

-Masks are must at the airport.
-Passengers' temperature will be measured at the airport.
-Pets are not allowed with an exemption of Seeing Eye dog and hearing aid dog.
-Vulnerable passengers who have serious underlying medical conditions are advised not to travel.
-Yellow fever vaccination certificate must be in possession of the passenger before departure from origin point with destination to Kigali.
-All Passengers including those in transit, will be required to show proof of COVID-19
-PCR negative test form a certified Laboratory taken 72 hours of arriving in Rwanda.
-A second PCR test will be conducted upon arrival, with results delivered within 24 hours
during which time they will remain in designated hotels at own cost.
-(charge for PCR-test on Arrival plus hotel Accommodation for 24 hours at hotel will be at
passenger own cost.)

Khartoum:

-Sudanese passengers and foreigners with Sudanese origin will be subject to Covid19 testing upon arrival.
-All other nationals must possess a certified Negative PCR test result taken within 72 hours prior their arrival.

Juba:

-Passengers must wear masks and gloves.
-Passengers must have valid or entry permit to enter into South Sudan.
-All passengers will be subjected to screening for COVID-19 infection.
-Passengers must have COVID 19 free certificate valid from 14 days.
-All passengers will be quarantined for 14 days in designated hotels selected by the ministry of health.
-Passengers will pay for their accommodation , food, water and other daily requirements.

*Some Destinations require negative PCR test before arrival ( Egypt -Austria -Addis Ababa - Abu Dhabi - Beirut -Juba - Larnaca - Tunis - Dubai - Sharjah - Khartoum - Kigali - N'djamena- Erbil- Baghdad- Dar-el-salaam - Douala).
