Airline offers 25 flights a week to sunny destinations - plane is stationed at the airport

Cologne Bonn Airport welcomes a new regular to its apron: this Friday lunchtime, the airport celebrated the opening of the Corendon Airlines' new base. The Boeing 737-800, painted red and white, is now permanently stationed at Cologne/Bonn. In the summer months, Corendon Airlines will offer 25 weekly flights to 11 popular holiday destinations in the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands, Turkey, Greece and Egypt. In addition to the aircraft stationed at the airport, the airline will also use its other jets to fly to the sunny resorts.

"Corendon Airlines is banking on Cologne/Bonn - and as an airport, we are naturally very pleased about that. The fact that the airline is not only opening up a new base here with us, but is also bringing an extensive flight schedule full of attractive sunny destinations shows genuine commitment to our location and, at the same time, is great plus for our passengers," says Johan Vanneste, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH.

Erhan Bayram, Director Flight Operations at Corendon Airlines, added: "We are delighted we can celebrate the opening of another base in Germany today and can integrate it into our existing network. Corendon Airlines now has regular flights from Cologne Bonn Airport to the most popular holiday destinations around the Mediterranean."

In summer, Corendon Airlines flies from Cologne/Bonn to Izmir (3 weekly flights), Antalya (7 flights), Alanya-Gazipaşa (1 flight) and Hurghada (2 flights), Fuerteventura (1 flight), Las Palmas on Gran Canaria (1 flight), Tenerife (1 flight), Heraklion on Crete (3 flights), Kos (2 flights), Rhodes (2 flights) and Palma de Mallorca (2 flights).
