Contactless experience for passengers: Air Serbia’s new mobile application
Starting from today, 16 July, passengers can download Air Serbia's new mobile application. The app's size is 16 MB, and it is currently in the first phase of development, i.e. a beta version, available on Google Play Store for Android devices.
By downloading the application, functionalities such as check-in, passport scan, boarding pass download and storing in the Wallet app, registration via e-mail, Facebook and Google, setting up analytics and type of messages they wish to receive, will all become available to passengers on their mobile devices, and the possibility of safely storing travel documents is especially important. The special benefit of the new Air Serbia mobile application is that it enables passengers to, safely and without physical contact, book a flight to their desired destination in a few minutes, while keeping the boarding pass so it is always at hand. In this initial version, seats will be assigned randomly. Passengers have possibility to book their seat via airserbia.com in My Reservation Tab, before initiating the check-in process.
"During the dynamic changes of customer preferences towards contactless retailing we are happy that our team managed to boost development of the important step of digitalisation of Air Serbia's customer journey, which will significantly improve overall passenger experience. We are implementing an agile approach of gradually adding functionalities in development of our mobile application, which allows us to respond to users' feedback, as an essential part of our customer-centric approach," stated General Manager Commercial and Strategy at Air Serbia Jiri Marek.
It is expected that the iOS version of the app will become available at iOS App Store shortly. In the later stages of development, passengers will be able to use the application to search for flights, book and buy tickets, get additional services, get service information on flight status such as changing take-off or landing times, changing boarding exits and the like. The application will also provide the possibility of choosing the desired destination, price information, promotions and, as well as other benefits.
