Cambodia Airports welcomed more than 4 million passengers for 9 months in 2014

Cambodia Airports, the operator of the 3 international airports in Cambodia handled more than 4 million passengers and 47,689 flights movements for 9 months of 2014, an increase of 12.6% and 12.3% respectively compared to the same period of 2013.

Passenger traffic at Preah Sihanouk International Airport continued to grow significant at 131.2% to 27,952 passengers from January to September 2014.

Passengers

Phnom Penh International Airport welcomed more than 200,300 passengers in September 2014 while Siem Reap International Airport handled more than 182,400 passengers, an increase of 15.2% and 21.9% respectively compared to the same month in 2013. Both airports, the main hubs of the country, handled more than 382,700 national and international passengers, representing an 18.3% increase.
Flights Movements

The international flights movements for Phnom Penh increased by 7.9% while Siem Reap increased by 15.9% compared to September last year.
Cargo

Import and export tonnage in Phnom Penh Cargo Terminal decreased by 3.9%, while Siem Reap Airport Cargo Terminal decreased by 26.8%, year-on-year.
