Ngày 16/1/2019, tại sân bay quốc tế Nội Bài (Hà Nội), Hãng hàng không Bamboo Airways tổ chức lễ đón máy bay Airbus A321neo, mở đầu cho kế hoạch bổ sung hàng loạt máy bay thế hệ mới dự kiến sẽ bàn giao trong vài tháng tiếp theo. Cùng ngày, chuyến bay thương mại đầu tiên của hãng mang mã số QH202 từ Tp. Hồ Chí Minh đi Hà Nội đã cất cánh, đánh dấu sự vận hành chính thức của Bamboo Airways trên thị trường hàng không Việt Nam.
