Azul Reports September 2020 Traffic
Azul S.A., "Azul", (B3: AZUL4, NYSE: AZUL), the best airline in the world according to Tripadvisor, announces today its preliminary traffic results for September 2020.
Consolidated passenger traffic (RPKs) increased 23.5% compared to August 2020 on a capacity increase (ASKs) of 16.0%, resulting in a load factor of 80.2%. Domestic load factor was 80.7% and international load factor was 74.6%.
"Once again we continue to see an improvement in domestic passenger demand as we approach the strongest travel season in Brazil. September capacity was 42% of the same period last year, and in October we expect to reach approximately 55% of pre-Covid capacity. The size and connectivity of our network combined with our fleet flexibility give us the unique tools to capture the maximum benefits of this demand recovery", said John Rodgerson, Azul's CEO.
