Avianca and Taca transported close to 4 million passengers

In the first two months of 2013, Avianca and TACA recorded a 9.7% increase in passenger numbers compared to the same period in 2012.

In February 2013, the airlines affiliated with the Holding transported close to two million passengers.

In the first two months of the year the airlines affiliated with AviancaTaca Holding carried 3,982,201 passengers, a 9.7% increase compared to January-February 2012.

Through February, Avianca, TACA and their subsidiaries transported 1,866,367 passengers, up 6.8% compared to February 2012. Capacity, measured in ASK's (available seat kilometers), increased 1.6% while passenger traffic measured in RPK´s (passenger revenue per kilometer flown) increased by 5.5%. The load factor for the month was 80.7%.

Domestic markets in Colombia, Peru and Ecuador
From January to February 2013, the number of passengers transported in the domestic markets of Colombia, Peru and Ecuador was 2,278,645 passengers, up 11.4% compared to 2012. Capacity in these markets, measured in ASK´s increased by 15.1% while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 14.1%. As a result the load factor was 79.5%.

In February the airlines affiliated with the Holding transported a total of 1,089,289 travelers, up 7.9% compared to February 2012. Capacity, measured in ASK's, increased 13.6% while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 11.1%. As a result the load factor was 78.8%.

International markets
From January to February 2013, the number of passengers carried on the international routes was 1,703,556, up 7.4% compared to 2012. Capacity (ASK's) grew 1.9% while passenger traffic (RPK) increased 6.7%. As a result the load factor was 82.9%.

In February, Avianca, TACA and subsidiaries transported on the international routes 777,078 passengers, up 5.4% compared to 2012. As a result of the company's operational reorganizational plan, capacity in these markets (ASK's) declined 1.2% while passenger traffic (RPK´s) grew 4.1%. The load factor rose to 81.2%.
