Airnotes: Update to International schedule | Covid-19 Flexibility Policy Update

Our international schedule which was published to 30 June 2020 has now been extended for travel to 31 August 2020.Below is an outline of our international schedule between 01 July and 31 August 2020, with some exceptions. All services are subject to change as governments continue to review travel and border restrictions.TasmanTasman routes below have increased by 1 x service per week vs our skeleton schedule Apr-Jun.All other Trans-Tasman services will be cancelled.

Pacific Islands:

Longhaul:

  • Auckland - Los Angeles: 5 x return flights per week (an increase of 2 x flights per week vs our skeleton schedule Apr-Jun)
  • Auckland - Hong Kong: 2 x return flights per week.

All other international services will be cancelled.

Cancelled Flights
Impacted flights will be progressively cancelled and rolled out in your GDS over the next week. Please ensure you check your queues and update bookings accordingly.

If your passengers do wish to travel and their flight has been cancelled, for travel on Air New Zealand aircraft please re-book them onto the next best available flight in the same class. If the same class isn't available, then book the next best available in the same cabin. The same booking class must be booked for other airline travel, if the same class is not available contact Agency Sales.

We will update you on any additional long-term flying that may take place between these dates.

Covid-19 Flexibility Policy Update

We have updated our Covid-19 Flexibility Policy, please see amendments below

International travel:

  • Flexibility is extended to include all travel until 31 August 2020.
  • For travel between New Zealand and Australia, all ticket reissues must be completed by 30 June 2020.
  • For all other International routes, all ticket reissues must be completed by 31 August 2020.

Domestic New Zealand travel:

  • When reissuing a new ticket, the standard reissue time limit will not apply, the new ticket issued ticketing time limit will apply.
  • The Alert level 3 & 4 flexibility for people who were required to quarantine before travelling domestically, now applies to all people required to quarantine regardless of Alert Level.

The Covid-19 Quick Reference Guide has been updated to reflect these changes.

Domestic New Zealand Lounges

Air New Zealand Domestic lounges in Auckland Regional, Wellington Domestic and Christchurch Domestic, as well as nine regional airport lounges have now reopened.

In line with government regulations, there will be a maximum of 100 people able to be in any lounge, and the self-service buffet will not be available. Table service will be available once customers are seated, and packaged snacks, beverages including barista made coffee will also be on offer. The lounges are not currently be serving alcohol, but more food and alcohol options will be introduced in the coming weeks.

Auckland Domestic lounge remains closed as it undergoes refurbishment. Valet parking also reopens today.
