25-Oct-2017 Air Transat increases flights to Europe in summer 2018 thanks to the addition of an Airbus A330 to its fleet

True to its position as Canada's leading holiday travel airline, Air Transat expands its summer 2018 program by adding direct flights to nine destinations popular with Canadians in France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Israel. This is thanks to the addition of an Airbus A330 to its fleet.

"The addition of this aircraft next summer allows us to strengthen our presence in key destinations in Europe," says Annick Guérard, President and General Manager of Transat Tours Canada. "Furthermore, Air Transat was the first airline to offer a direct flight between Montreal and Tel Aviv, and we are pleased to add a third flight a week next summer.

"With this enhanced flight program, Air Transat cements its position as a leader in Canada on the transatlantic market, offering 28 European and Middle Eastern destinations from many Canadian gateways thanks to direct and connecting flights."

Increase in direct flights

Airline of choice to seven of the largest cities in France, Air Transat consolidates its program by adding direct flights from Montreal to Paris (for a total of 13 flights a week), Toulouse (for a total of four flights a week), Bordeaux (for a total of three flights a week) and Nantes (for a total of three flights a week).

Inaugurated as an Air Transat destination in the summer of 2017, Tel Aviv has been a great success with travellers. That's why the airline will be offering it three times a week from Montreal as of next summer.

Globetrotters from Montreal looking to discover the Iberian Peninsula can quench their wanderlust thanks to the addition of direct flights to Spain and Portugal. Air Transat will offer three flights a week to both Madrid and Malaga, and five flights a week to Lisbon.

Lovers of Ireland will also be happy to learn that passengers will be able to fly to Dublin from Toronto with five direct flights a week.

Europe for all, thanks to an intensive feeder flights program

Air Transat's very successful feeder flights program, introduced three years ago, is being maintained, making a wider choice of Europe destinations available to travellers from across Canada.

• Six flights a week between Montreal and Toronto;

• Six flights a week between Vancouver and Toronto;

• Five flights a week between Calgary and Toronto;

• Four flights a week between Vancouver and Montreal;

• Two flights a week between Quebec City and Montreal.

Air Transat also offers multi-destination flight options, making it possible to land in one European city and return from another, at no extra cost - a simple and affordable way to discover even more destinations and get the most out of each trip.

In addition, those who fly with Air Transat will be able to experience quality service on board, which has led to its recognition as the second best leisure airline in the world by Skytrax. The attentive crew, cabin comfort, Option Plus and Club Class upgrades, little extras for families like priority check-in and boarding, as well as the Kids Club to make flying fun for the little ones - all of this make it so that, with Air Transat, vacation starts even before arriving at destination.
