Air Niugini to Launch Narita - Chuuk (Truk) Service on 1 September 2018

Air Niugini (IATA code: PX) will launch a new flight service between Narita and Chuuk also known as Truk, in the Federated States of Micronesia) on 1 September 2018. Air Niugini will change the routing of its twice weekly Narita - Port Moresby service to fly via Chuuk which will make it the only direct service between Asia and the Federated States of Micronesia.

One of the world's largest coral atolls (coral island shaped like ring), Chuuk, with its crystal clear seas is a mecca for wreck diving and a resort for divers from around the world. Chuuk is located at the center of the Federated States of Micronesia and the commencement of the direct Air Niugini service will make it easier to travel to Pohnpei State, the capital of the Federated States, Yap State with its many uninhabited islands, and other outlying islands.

Narita Airport will remain committed to extending its network of destinations to offer greater convenience to its customers. This new Air Niugini service provides one more reason to take advantage of Narita Airport's growing network of destinations.
