Air New Zealand unmasks the smile onboard

We wish to advise that face coverings will no longer be required on any Air New Zealand-operated flights from 11.59pm NZT tonight, 12 September, following the New Zealand Government's announcement.

This will include all flights where a mandate does not exist. But will still be required on some international flights, depending on the individual jurisdiction the flight is arriving in.

Customers are welcome to wear their own face mask if they wish, and Air New Zealand will continue to make masks available.

In addition to the above, vaccination mandates for entry into New Zealand will be removed. International arrivals will continue to receive complimentary RATs at the airport, and travellers are encouraged to test on days 0/1 and 5/6.

For updated information on any country a customer is travelling to or from, please refer to the destination Government website or the IATA website (powered by Timatic).
