Air Italy will be enhancing its already highly popular menus with an infusion of Asian flavours to coincide with the imminent launch of its new services to Bangkok (Sept 9th), Delhi (Oct 28th) and Mumbai (Oct 30th).

Following the launch of its new intercontinental flights from Milan Malpensa to New York and Miami in June, Air Italy's new on-board catering has already proved to be highly popular with passengers thanks to its focus on high quality Italian food and beverages.

This approach will now be complemented by an infusion of Asian options on its Eastbound routes as it launches Bangkok, Delhi and Mumbai in quick succession over the next few weeks.

"The new Air Italy on-board service has been specially designed to offer our customers a travel experience that they will savour and remember," said Rossen Dimitrov, Air Italy Chief Customer Experience Officer.

"The planning, preparation and attention to detail that goes into the creation of our meals is a testament to how much we value food as part of the overall product experience, and the feedback we have had from our customers has shown us that they fully appreciate this.

"The primary choice of food and ingredients in our menus allows our customers to experience an authentic taste of Italy while flying with us, and we are delighted to complement that now with some Asian delights as we launch our new eastbound routes."

Air Italy's Business Class meals are served à la carte, with an elegant mise en place in tableware and designer porcelain. Courses are varied and are prepared following the highest culinary standards, with classic Italian pasta dishes being among the regular onboard delights.

For entrée, dish highlights include caprese salad or the classic "ham and melon", as well as a rich selection of Italian cheeses.

All of this is accompanied by Champagne, served as a welcome on-board drink, followed by red and white wines from a selection of key wineries in Tuscany and Sardinia.

For the new eastbound flights, final menu details are yet to be revealed, but this will be complemented by a delicious new selection of Thai- and Indian-inspired modern cuisine across all courses.

Air Italy's Economy class menu already includes options such as Italian lasagna or gnocchi, with snacks such as traditional pizza or focaccia all being complemented by a wide selection of beverages followed by gourmet ice-cream and espresso.

This will also now be enhanced with the addition of a delicious range of special Asian dishes.

All Air Italy's new services between Milan Malpensa and the USA, India and Thailand, are being operated with Air Italy's new long-haul Airbus A330-200, which offers up to 24 seats in the exclusive Business Class cabin making it possible to fly with maximum comfort in fully lie-flat seats with signature Italian cuisine accompanied by a selection of champagnes and Italian fine wines, Wi-Fi service, an extensive inflight entertainment service and the personalized attention from its on-board staff.

The Economy Class cabin with 228 seats also provides Air Italy's guests with highly personalized service, WiFi and a wide selection of entertainment.
