Aer Lingus Resumes Travel to Toronto

Direct News Source

Aer Lingus will today resume its direct connection to Canada's biggest city, Toronto. EI127 will operate four times per week* from Dublin, following an 18-month hiatus. As of September 7th, Canada is permitting entry for fully vaccinated foreign visitors, subject to meeting COVID-19 travel conditions**.

After a long pause, the corridor between Ireland and Canada has reopened and Aer Lingus customers can once again fly direct from Dublin to Toronto, and vice versa, upon presentation of valid travel documents.

A bustling multicultural metropolis, Ontario's capital city has so much to offer. Filled with world renowned visitor attractions including Niagara Falls, the CN Tower and Lake Ontario, Toronto packs charm in every pocket and its neighbourhoods Chinatown, Koreatown, Greektown, Little Italy and Little Portugal are well worth a visit.

Speaking on the route announcement, Susanne Carberry, Chief Customer Officer at Aer Lingus, said:

"At long last we are re-establishing our direct service to Toronto and can once again connect families, friends and businesses across the Atlantic. This is an important milestone in the recovery of our business and will no doubt be very meaningful to those with Irish-Canadian connections.

"Safety remains our priority at Aer Lingus and we continue to implement measures such as mask requirements and additional cleaning, as has been in practice across the airline for the past year. We are also committed to making the flight experience as comfortable as possible and customers can enjoy our in-flight food, drink and entertainment services on board."

Before travelling, Aer Lingus customers are advised to use the airline's new online travel support tool to search by destination and retrieve up-to-date tailored travel information based on their specific circumstances including vaccination status, return travel and flight connection requirements. Should plans change, customers can also avail of the 'Book with Confidence' flexible booking proposition until 31 December 2021.

Aer Lingus offers highly competitive fares in both Business Class and Economy Class on its transatlantic services operating from Dublin with fares to Toronto starting from €149 each-way, as part of a return journey.
