26-Aug-2009 Preliminary figures released today by the Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) reported that AAPA member airlines carried a total of 11.5 million international passengers in July, 7.8% fewer than in the same month last year. With a 6.5% reduction in available seat capacity not quite matching the decline in demand, the average international passenger load factor for the month fell by 1.7 percentage points, to 76.6%. For the first seven months of the year, AAPA international passenger traffic, in RPK terms, fell 11.8% year on year.
