ستعمل هذه الاتفاقية على زيادة عدد الرحلات بين تورونتو والدوحة اعتباراً من15 ديسمبر 2020

سيتمكن مسافرو الناقلة القطرية الدوليين الآن من الاستمتاع برحلاتهم دون توقّف من وإلى تورنتو عبر الدوحة

الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر حرصت على تسيير أربع رحلات أسبوعيّاً إلى مونتريال طوال فترة الجائحة، بالإضافة إلى رحلات غير مُجدولة إلى كلّ من تورنتو وفانكوفر لمساعدة أكثر من 40 ألف مسافر على العودة إلى ديارهم في كندا

يسرّ الخطوط الجوية القطرية أن تعلن عن إبرام اتفاقية الرمز المشترك مع طيران كندا على رحلاتها الجديدة بين تورنتو والدوحة. وبدأت مبيعات التذاكر لهذه الرحلات مؤخراً، مع تشغيل أولى الرحلات ضمن هذه الاتفاقية في 15 ديسمبر 2020. وتعزز الاتفاقية من التزام الناقلة القطرية طويل الأمد تجاه المسافرين الكنديين، وإتاحة المزيد من خيارات السفر لهم؛ بهدف دعم تعافي قطاعي السياحة والتجارة في البلاد.

وسيحظى مسافرو الخطوط الجوية القطرية بالفرصة لزيارة تورونتو مع محطة توقّف واحدة عبر أفضل مطار في الشرق الأوسط، مطار حمد الدولي. كما سيتمكن مسافرو طيران كندا من حجز رحلاتهم على متن الخطوط الجوية القطرية بين تورنتو والدوحة، ومواصلة رحلاتهم إلى أكثر من 75 وجهة في إفريقيا وآسيا والشرق الأوسط.

وقال سعادة السيّد أكبر الباكر، الرئيس التنفيذي لمجموعة الخطوط الجوية القطرية: "يسرّنا إبرام اتفاقية الرمز المشترك الاستراتيجية هذه مع طيران كندا لتزويد مسافرينا برحلات سلسة من وإلى تورنتو على متن طائراتنا المتطورة والمستدامة، والتي تتميّز بالأمان والراحة وتقديم الخدمات ذات الطراز العالمي على متنها. وستمنح هذه الاتفاقية المزيد من خيارات السفر لآلاف المسافرين، كما ستمكنهم بسهولة من مواصلة الرحلات إلى عدد كبير من الوجهات الجديدة؛ لا سيّما في إفريقيا وآسيا والشرق الأوسط. ومن خلال تسخير مواطن قوتنا معاً؛ فإن هذه الاتفاقية من شأنها أن توفّر للخطوط الجوية القطرية وطيران كندا العديد من الفوائد، لدعم تعافي قطاع السفر العالمي".

وكانت الخطوط الجوية القطرية قد أطلقت أولى رحلاتها إلى كندا في يونيو 2011 مع ثلاث رحلات أسبوعيّاً إلى مونتريال، وقامت بعد ذلك بزيادة عدد رحلاتها لتصل إلى أربع رحلات أسبوعيّاً في شهر ديسمبر 2018. وقد عملت الخطوط الجويّة القطرية عن كثب مع حكومة كندا وسفاراتها حول العالم طوال فترة انتشار الجائحة؛ حيث سيّرت الناقلة بشكل مؤقت ثلاث رحلات أسبوعيّاً إلى تورنتو، بالإضافة إلى رحلات غير مُجدولة إلى فانكوفر لمساعدة أكثر من 40 ألف مسافر على العودة إلى ديارهم في كندا.

وساهمت الاستثمارات الاستراتيجية في أسطول الناقلة المتنوع من الطائرات ذات المحركين التي تتسم بالكفاءة في استهلاك الوقود، بما في ذلك أكبر أسطول من طائرات إيرباص A350 في إتاحة الفرصة أمامها للاستمرار في الطيران طيلة فترة هذه الأزمة، وقيادة مرحلة تعافي قطاع الطيران العالمي بشكل مستدام. واستلمت الناقلة القطرية مؤخراً ثلاث طائرات حديثة من طراز إيرباص A350-1000؛ ليصل بذلك عدد طائرات أسطولها من طراز A350 إلى 52 طائرة، بمعدل عمرٍ للطائرات يصل إلى عامين ونصف فقط. ونتيجةً لتأثير جائحة كوفيد -19 على السفر؛ إرتأت الناقلة القطرية إيقاف تشغيل طائراتها من طراز إيرباص A380 حيث أنه لا يوجد أي مبرر لتشغيل طائرة بهذا الحجم الكبير لخدمة الأسواق حالياً. كما أطلقت الخطوط الجوية القطرية مؤخراً برنامجاً خاصاً يتيح للمسافرين فرصة التعويض الطوعي عن الكربون الناجم عن رحلاتهم، منذ نقطة حجز تذاكر السفر.

وتعتزم الخطوط الجوية القطرية مواصلة بناء شبكة وجهاتها العالمية لتصل إلى 126 وجهة عالمية بنهاية فصل الشتاء، من ضمنها 20 في إفريقيا، و11 في الأمريكيتين، و42 في منطقة آسيا والمحيط الأطلسي، و38 في أوروبا، و15 في الشرق الأوسط. ويتم تسيير الرحلات إلى العديد من المدن ضمن جدول رحلات قويّ يتضمن رحلة يوميّاً أو أكثر.
وحازت الخطوط الجوية القطرية على جائزة أفضل "شركة طيران في العالم" خلال حفل توزيع جوائز سكاي تراكس العالمية 2019. كما حصدت الناقلة الوطنية لدولة قطر جائزة "أفضل شركة طيران في الشرق الأوسط " وجائزة "أفضل درجة رجال أعمال" في العالم وجائزة "أفضل مقعد على درجة رجال الأعمال" عن مقاعد كيو سويت. كما أن مقاعد كيو سويت المصممة بحسب ترتيب المقاعد 1-2-1؛ توفّر للمسافرين المساحة الرحبة والخصوصية المطلقة والراحة التامّة والتباعد الاجتماعي الأفضل على متن درجة رجال الأعمال في الأجواء. وأصبحت الناقلة القطرية شركة الطيران الوحيدة التي تفوز بجائزة أفضل شركة طيران في العالم خمس مرات.
وتعد شركة طيران كندا أكبر شركة طيران محلية ودولية في كندا. كما تعد الناقلة الوطنية التي تحمل علم البلاد، وهي من ضمن أكبر 20 شركة طيران في العالم. وفي عام 2019 وحده نقلت أكثر من 51 مليون مسافر على متن رحلاتها. وتعتبر شركة طيران كندا كذلك؛ الناقلة الدولية الوحيدة في أمريكا الشمالية الحائزة على تصنيف أربع نجوم وفقاً لشركة الأبحاث المستقلة سكاي تراكس ومقرّها المملكة المتحدة؛ والتي بموجبها أيضاً حازت على لقب أفضل شركة طيران في أمريكا الشمالية لعام 2019.

Qatar Airways and Air Canada Sign Codeshare Agreement

Agreement will enhance travel services between Toronto and Doha from 15 December 2020

Qatar Airways' global passengers will now be able to enjoy seamless one stop connections to and from Toronto via Doha

Qatar Airways has continuously operated four weekly flights to Montreal throughout the pandemic in addition to charter flights to Toronto and Vancouver to help bring over 40,000 passengers home to Canada

Qatar Airways is pleased to announce it has finalised a codeshare agreement with Air Canada applicable for travel between Doha and Toronto. Sales have started with the first codeshare flight to operate from 15 December 2020. The agreement reinforces Qatar Airways' long-term commitment to Canadian passengers, and to boosting Canada's global connectivity to support the recovery of tourism and trade.

Qatar Airways' passengers can now enjoy seamless, one-stop connections to and from Toronto via the Best Airport in the Middle East, Hamad International Airport. Air Canada passengers will benefit from being able to book travel on Qatar Airways' flights between Toronto and Doha and onwards to more than 75 destinations in Africa, Asia and the Middle East.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, said: "We are delighted to secure this strategic codeshare agreement with Air Canada to provide our travellers with a seamless journey to and from Toronto with excellence in state-of-the-art and sustainable aircraft, safety, comfort and onboard service. The agreement will increase choices for thousands of passengers and allows for smooth connectivity to a significant number of new destinations - particularly throughout Africa, Asia and the Middle East. By harnessing our complementary strengths, this agreement will also provide benefits to aid the recovery of international travel."

Qatar Airways began flying to Canada in June 2011 with three weekly flights to Montreal that expanded to four weekly in December 2018. The airline has worked closely with the Government of Canada and its embassies around the world throughout the pandemic, temporarily operating three weekly services to Toronto in addition to charter flights to Vancouver to help bring more than 40,000 passengers home to Canada.

Qatar Airways' strategic investment in a variety of fuel-efficient, twin-engine aircraft, including the largest fleet of Airbus A350 aircraft, has enabled it to continue flying throughout this crisis and perfectly positions it to lead the sustainable recovery of international travel. The airline recently took delivery of three new state-of-the-art Airbus A350-1000 aircraft, increasing its total A350 fleet to 52 with an average age of just 2.6 years. Due to COVID-19's impact on travel demand, the airline has grounded its fleet of Airbus A380s as it is not environmentally justifiable to operate such a large, four-engine aircraft in the current market. Qatar Airways has also recently launched a new programme that enables passengers to voluntarily offset the carbon emissions associated with their journey at the point of booking.

By the end of the IATA Winter Season, Qatar Airways plans to rebuild its network to 126 destinations including 20 in Africa, 11 in the Americas, 42 in Asia-Pacific, 38 in Europe and 15 in the Middle East. Many cities will be served with a strong schedule with daily or more frequencies.
