MSJ Asset Management Company (previously Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation)

MSJ Asset Management Company (formerly Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation) is a Japanese aircraft manufacturer established in Apr-2008. A division of Japanese heavy industries giant Mitsubishi Group, MSJ Asset Management Company has a long history in the design and manufacture of military and helicopter aircraft, and Mitsubishi's most recent project is the Mitsubishi SpaceJet, previously branded as the Mitsubishi Regional Jet. The SpaceJet is a twin engine 76-seat to 88-seat aircraft, selected as on of the exclusive users of the Pratt & Whitney's PW1000G Geared Turbofan engine. Mitsubishi plans to introduce two variants - the M90 and M100. MSJ Asset Management Company completed its first SpaceJet flight on 11-Nov-2015, with delivery of the M90 scheduled for mid-2020. All Nippon Airways is the launch customer of the SpaceJet programme. MSJ Asset Management Company is also a key manufacturer of aircraft frame and engine components, working with Boeing, Airbus, Bombardier, Sikorsky, Rolls-Royce, Pratt & Whitney, and IAE to manufacture key components of their aircraft and engines. Mitsubishi Heavy Industries holds a majority stake in MSJ Asset Management Company.

In Feb-2023, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries stated it will liquidate subsidiary MSJ Asset Management Company following its decision to terminate the SpaceJet programme, with plans to transfer staff to defence business related departments.

Mitsubishi Aircraft Corporation changed its name to MSJ Asset Management Company effective 25-Apr-2023.
