About

International Aero Engines (IAE) was formed as a joint venture in 1983 between four major aircraft engine manufacturers, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, Japanese Aero Engine Corporation and MTU Aero Engines. IAE targets the 150-seat segment of the market and produces the V2500 high-bypass turbofan, which is used on the A320-family and the MD-90. The V2500 has roughly 50% market share and has some 190 customers around the world. IAE also offers comprehensive servicing for the V2500 engine.
