22-Dec-2022. Shandong Provincial Department of Transportation commenced works to develop Zaozhuang Yiyun Airport on 21-Dec-2022. The airport will require an estimated investment of CNY2.2 billion (USD315.3 million) to develop, with works expected to be completed in 2024. It will be equipped with a 2600m x 45m runway, a 14,000sqm passenger terminal and 11 aircraft parking stands and have capacity to accommodate up to 1.2 million passengers, 13,000 aircraft movements and 7000 tons of cargo p/a by 2030.
9-Dec-2022. CAAC approved Zaozhuang Yiyun Airport as the official name of a new airport to be developed in Shandong Province. The airport will require an estimated investment of CNY2.2 billion (USD316.1 million) to develop, with works expected to commence in the near future and be completed in 2024. It will be equipped with a 2600m x 45m runway, a 14,000sqm passenger terminal and 11 aircraft parking stands and have capacity to accommodate up to 1.2 million passengers, 13,000 aircraft movements and 7000 tons of cargo p/a by 2030.
