Yozgat Hattusas Airport

Yozgat Hattuşaş Airport is a proposed airport to serve the city of Yozgat, Türkiye. The airport is part of a government initiative to construct new airports under the "One airport every 100 kilometers" programme. 

Aug-2022. Yozgat Hattusas Airport is scheduled to commence operations in Jun-2023, according to AK Party Yozgat Deputy Yusuf Başer. Mr Başer said construction of the airport, which will feature a 2600m runway and capacity to handle two million passengers p/a, has reached 90% completion.

Jun-2021. Türkiye's Vice President Fuat Oktay stated construction of Yozgat Hattusas Airport will be completed in 2022, following an inspection of the site. Mr Oktay said 70% of the airport infrastructure has been built.

Aug-2018. Türkiye's Ak Parti Yozgat party member Yusuf Başer said construction of Yozgat Hattusas Airport is on schedule, with opening expected in Sep-2020. The airport will feature a 2700m runway and 300sqm apron, representing investment of TRY175 million (EUR27.9 million/USD32.2 million).

Jun-2018. Türkiye's Ministry of Transportation announced Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications Ahmet Arslan and Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdağ attended a ground breaking for construction of Yozgat Hattusas Airport.

Jun-2017. Türkiye's Minister of Transport, Maritime and Communications Ahmet Arslan plans to launch construction tenders for new airports in Karaman, Yozgat and Bayburt-Gümüşhane "this year". He said the Karaman and Yozgat tenders are expected to launch in Jul/Aug/Sep-2017, while Bayburt-Gümüşhane is more likely in Nov/Dec-2017.
