Weining Airport is a proposed to serve the city of Weining, Guizhou Province. The National Development and Reform Commission expects the new airport will handle 350,000 passengers and 1050 tonnes of cargo p/a.

Oct-2022. Weining Airport is proceeding with development works, including a 3000m x 45m runway, a 4000sqm passenger terminal and five aircraft parking stands. The airport is on track to complete primary development works by the end of Oct-2023. The project commenced in Mar-2019 and will require an estimated investment of CNY1.8 billion (USD253 million).

Aug-2017. China's National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) granted approval for a new airport construction project in the Weining region of Guizhou Province. The project is will require an investment of CNY1.8 billion (USD268 million), with Weining Airport expected to be capable of supporting 350,000 passengers and 1050 tonnes of cargo throughput p/a by 2025.
