Sep-2026. Türkiye's Ministry of Environment, Urbanisation and Climate Change awarded a 'Positive Environmental Impact Assessment' for the construction of a new airport in Trabzon. The TRY45.6 billion (EUR808.53 million) project is expected to commence in 2026, with the airport scheduled to open by 2033. The airport will feature a 110,000sqm terminal building, 1250 space covered parking area, technical block, control tower and support buildings.
