Levashovo Airport is a proposed redevelopment by Gazpromavia. Russia's government plans to develop Levashovo Airport as a dual purpose facility.


Nov-2022. Levashovo Airport is expected to open in 2023 and will handle military and civil aircraft. The airport is designed to serve 250 passengers per hour. 

Jul-2020. Russia's Government asked the Ministry of Defence to prepare a 49 year concession agreement with Gazpromavia for Levashovo Airport by Nov-2020. The agreement covers airfield, air traffic management and navigation infrastructure and requires the completion of reconstruction work by 2022.

Aug-2019. Russia's President Vladimir Putin approved an order on the signing of a concession agreement for dual purpose Levashovo Airport between the Ministry of Defence and Gazpromavia by 01-Dec-2019. Reconstruction work under the agreement is to be completed by 2022.

Jun-2016. Gazpromavia plans to construct an airport complex at Levashovo, as part of its move to Saint Petersburg. The project will be developed by Petersburg-Dorservis by 3Q2016. The airport will be designed to handle Boeing 737-700, Falcon 900, Ilyushin Il-96-300, Sukhoi Superjet 100, Tupolev Tu-134, Yakovlev Yak-42 aircraft and Mi-8 helicopters.
