About

Feb-2025. El Salvador's Government announced the commencement of construction of the Pacific Airport in La Union. The USD386 million project will be conducted in three phases, with general aviation operations expected to commence in 1H2027 following the completion of the first phase. The second phase will include construction of a passenger terminal and extension of the runway to 3000m, with the aim of handling one million passengers p/a. Financing for the project will be provided by Development Bank of Latin America and the Caribbean.
