About
Daular International Airport is a proposed development project for the Ecuadorian city of Guayaquil. It is intended that the new airport will replace the current Jose Joaquin de Olmedo Airport upon its completion. The airport is to be located in the Daular (Duale) canton, with construction expected to commence in 2018. The project is forecast to be completed by 2024, to coincide with the time that the existing Jose Joaquin de Olmedo Airport is expected to reach capacity. The airport will be constructed on a 2020ha plot and will feature two runways and a terminal building with 36 aerobridges.
