Airlines Association of Southern Africa (AASA) is established as a representative organisation for airlines and associate members in the South African region. The AASA consists of 19 active member airlines, as well as 29 associate members including Airports Company South Africa and ATNS. The airline association represents its members on policy, regulatory, planning, operational, safety, security and financial matters that could potentially affect the overall profitability and sustainability of the region's aviation industry. AASA also represents the industry on airport, airspace and civil aviation issues, as well as consumer legislation, environmental and tourism matters.
