First established as the Ministry of Construction and Transportation in 1948, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) is South Korea's cabinet-level division responsible for, among other things, crafting the government's aviation policy. This is done under direction from its Civil Aviation Office. The Civil Aviation Office encompasses subordinate organisations that include: the Aviation Policy Bureau, Aviation Safety Policy Bureau and the Airport Policy Bureau. MOLIT is headquartered in the Sejong Government Complex, Sejong-si.
