The Canadian Transportation Agency (CTA) is an independent, quasi-judicial tribunal and regulator of air, rail and marine modes of transportation under the authority of Parliament. The organisation is responsible for the provision of certificates or the issuance of permits to federal air, rail and marine operators, as well as dispute resolution and accessibility. Its position is set out in the Canada Transportation Act.
