About
The Barbados Civil Aviation Department is a division of the Ministry of Tourism and International Transport. The agency is charged with air safety provision as well as the implementation and enforcement of regulatory measures. This includes:
- Air traffic services including equipment;
- Air navigation facilities, visual ground aids and airport lighting;
- Aircraft registration and airworthiness;
- Aircraft operation and certification;
- The Barbados civil aviation training centre;
- Flight safety and inspections;
- Aircraft accident/incident prevention and/or investigation;
- Personnel licensing;
- Aeronautical telecommunications, and;
- Air navigation and related regulations.
