Region: Europe : Eastern/Central Europe

Serbia is well connected to the rest of the world, mainly due to its geographical location as well as by the Serbian Air Transport System – which operates flights to and from Europe, North America, North Africa, Australia and the Middle East. There are three international airports in Serbia - Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG), Niš Constantine the Great Airport (INI) and Vršac International Airport (VRC), however BEG is the busiest airport of Serbia. BEG is also the hub for Jat Airways - the national carrier. The Civil Aviation Directorate of the Republic of Serbia is the regulatory and supervisory authority over the civil aviation industry. Its priority is to provide the conditions for safe and secure air transport operations in accordance with the international standards.
