This Portuguese-speaking island nation is located in the Gulf of Guinea, off the western coast of Central Africa, with almost all travellers arrive either from Gabon or Portugal. Airline services are limited, however flights leave a few times weekly from Libreville (Gabon) with either Air São Tomé or Air Service Gabon, while there are nonstop flights from Lisbon (Portugal) a few times weekly with TAP Air Portugal. There are also now nonstop weekly flights to Angola, Ghana and Cape Verde with TAAG Angolan Airlines. The main international airport is São Tomé International Airport (TMS).
