Located in Central America, Panama has over thirty airports, however the main gateways into the country are Albrook Marcos A Gelabert International Airport (PAC), Enrique Malek International Airport, Changuinola Capitán Manuel Niño International Airport as well as Tocumen International Airport, which is the hub for Copa Airlines – the national flag carrier of Panama. Copa is the largest airline in the country and is one of the largest and most important in the region, it is a publicly held company traded on the NYSE. Air Panama is also based in Panama City, and is currently the second largest airline in the country. Air Panama offers scheduled and chartered passenger flights to 24 destinations out of its hub at PAC. The Civil Aviation Authority of Panama is the body in charge of regulating and overseeing the aviation industry in the country.
