The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) has limited international air connections. There are regular scheduled flights from Sunan International Airport – to Moscow, Vladivostok, Bangkok, Beijing, Kuala Lumpur, Shanghai, Shenyang along with seasonal services to Singapore and charter flights from Sunan to numerous Asian and European destinations including Tokyo and Nagoya. Sunan International airport (FNJ) is the primary airport serving North Korea and the country’s primary international gateway. Domestic flights are available between Pyongyang, Hamhung, Haeju, Kaesong, Kanggye, Kilju, Nampo, Sinuiju, Samjiyon, Wonsan, and Chongjin on Air Koryo, which is the country’s national airline. Air China also operates flights between Bejiing and Pyongyang.
