Transportation plays a crucial role to the economy of this vast nation, as huge uninhabited deserts separate cities. Niger has a number of airports, however only two  provide regular international commercial flights - Diori Hamani International Airport (NIM) and Mano Dayak International Airport (AJY). Operators include Air Burkina, Air France-KLM, ASKY Airlines as well as Royal Air Maroc. The Niger Ministry of Civil Aviation is the body responsible for aviation matters in the country.
