Mongolia has a number of domestic airports, but only one international airport –Chinggis Khaan International Airport, located near Ulaanbaatar. Direct flight connections exist between Mongolia and South Korea, China, Japan, Russia and Germany. MIAT Mongolian Airlines is Mongolia’s largest carrier, and is also the flag carrier. MIAT provides both domestic and international flights to destinations such as Beijing, Dubai, Berlin and Hanoi. Civil Aviation Authority of Mongolia is the body responsible for aviation matters in the country.
