The Principality of Liechtenstein is the sixth smallest country in the world, nestled in the Alps between Switzerland and Austria. The country is a constitutional hereditary monarchy with a democratic and parliamentary system. Liechtenstein is part of the European Free Trade Association and became an associated member of the Schengen in 2011, despite not being in the European Union. Liechtenstein does not have an airport. Balzers Heliport serves as the country's main air facility.
