Aviation within the West African country of the Republic of Benin consisted of few small carriers. Lax safety and regulatory standards for aviation in Benin have prompted the blacklisting of all carriers from operating within the European Union. There are no flagship carriers based in Benin.
ASECNA (The Agency for Aerial Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar) is responsible for managing aviation in Benin, assisted by Management Service Airports Benin (SGAB) and the Benin Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC Benin).
