Belarus is located centrally within Europe and has two main airlines: Belavia Airlines is the state-owned national carrier based at Minsk International Airport in the capital. Gomelavia, the second airline of Belarus, is based at Gomel Airport in Belarus’ second largest city. The State Aviation Committee (SAC) of Belarus governs and oversees aviation within Belarus.
