Wuzhou Xijiang Airport is a new airport serving the city of Wuzhou. The new airport was developed in Tangbu Town near the Xijiang River, west of Wuzhou. The airport received State Council approval on 29-Jun-2014, and replaces the existing Changzhoudao Airport. Wuzhou Xijiang Airport is designed as a 4C standard facility, featuring a 2600m x 45m runway and handle up to 750,000 passengers and 6000 tonnes of cargo. Wuzhou Xijiang Airport commenced operations on 23-Jan-2019.
