Wudalianchi Dede Airport is a new airport serving the city of Wudalianchi, Heilongjiang province, China. The State Council and the Central Military Commission approved the construction of Dede Airport on 24-Jun-2014. The airport is being built as part of the city's attempt to capitalise on its natural parks and wildlife in a bid to boost eco-tourism to the area. Under a CNY3 billion (USD481.2 million) investment plan, Heilongjiang province sough to construct new airports in the region including Dede Airport. Wudalianchi Dede Airport officially commenced operation on 22-Nov-2017, with the launch of daily Harbin-Wudalianchi service by Loong Airlines with A320 equipment.
