About
Syunik Airport (also referred to as Kapan Airport) serves the city of Kapan, Armenia. The airport is owned by the General Department of Civil Aviation of Armenia and is operated by Syunik Airport LLC. Syunik Airport was neglected in the 1990s due to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the Nagorno-Karabakh War. Armenia's Civil Aviation Committee announced the completion of Syunik Airport repair work in Dec-2020. The airport is expected to reopen in 2022.
